It’s a Meat Mecca
With 26 cuts of meat on the menu, this icon is home to one of the last blade saws in the city and does all of their butchery in-house. Looking for a different cut? No problem. If it fits in the broiler, they’ll cook it. So far they’ve managed to fit a 100-ounce cut in there.
Perfect Pairings
Pair your meal with a glass or bottle from their award-winning, international wine list that includes more than 650 selections from 350 different wine makers. Looking to splurge? Why not opt for a vertical tasting?
Their Seafood’s No Slouch
Start out with their jumbo shrimp cocktail. Matthew McCahill, the owner, is an alumni of the legendary (though now defunct) Nick’s Fishmarket. He’s one of the only people that has their old cocktail sauce recipe and has revamped the one here, making it cult-status worthy.
Irish Influences
Sure, there’s green walls and a bar on every floor, Irish butter, and one heck of a stuffed baked potato. But the real gem here is the Irish Coffee. The owner drew his inspiration from San Francisco’s Buena Vista Cafe. It’s really the best we’ve had in Chicago.
